Alana McCarthy is an award winning illustrator working out of downtown Toronto. One of the highlights of her career was painting live on the streets of Toronto for a Fruitopia campaign. The next day she was whisked away by plane to do the same thing in Montreal. She can’t imagine doing anything else for a living. The rush of seeing the printed piece on the shelves is worth every late night spent painting.
Alana graduated with honors from the illustration program at Ontario College of Art and Design. Her work is punctuated with bright colors, strong contrast, stylized realism and unique lighting. She works in acrylic and delivers digitally. Her clients have included The Wall Street Journal, Loblaws, Milk, Cadbury, CocaCola, Scholastic, Penguin Books, and Absolut Vodka. Her art has been recognized by such design annuals as Communication Arts, American Illustration and How Magazine.
