Cadbury’s Bicycle Factory
Matt Roussel and Trevor Nelson both contributed towards Cadbury’s thebicyclefactory.ca initiative, the laudable goal of which is to send 5000 bicycles to students in Ghana. The Hive Inc. brought us in on this fantastic project resulting in Trevor’s funky bicycle parts and Matt’s crazy background images. The Monty Python meets Rube Goldberg effect is delightful!

Otto Steininger is in the Society of Illustrators 54
These two pieces were accepted into New York’s Society of Illustrators 54th Annual Competition. “Angel feeding devils”, a personal piece, highlights the darker side of Otto’s imagination. The other piece, named “insomnia” by Otto, was originally commissioned by the New York Times for a story on how ‘smart homes’ can take over your life.

Otto Steininger in Yale Medicine Magazine
Otto Steininger’s work for Yale has recently been published. Yale Medicine Magazine’s Autumn 2011 issue features Otto’s illustrations on the cover and several large interior illustrations. It’s an amazing story on the role of physicians as scientists. And it turned out to be an amazing series of illustrations executed in Otto’s beautiful line style.
