Bellebrute’s Picture Books

Introducing Illustrators Bellebrute and Their Fabulous Picture Books

Created in 2010 by the illustration duo of Marianne Chevalier and Vincent Gagnon, Bellebrute immediately seduced the Quebec children book’s industry and the young readers with “De bien belles balades,” their first picture book of imaginative poetry. In 2011, with publishers Dominique et Compagnie, Bellebrute wrote and illustrated a 7 book collection entitled “Monsieur Son.” This series presents wacky and adventure-packed stories that help the young reader recognize the use of written letters to transcribe sounds. Funny, as well as great educational tools, these picture books are a great success amongst beginner readers and their teachers. Along with this collection, Bellebrute has illustrated several other picture books with various publishers such as Les 400 coups, La Bagnole and Les heures bleues. Nominated several times at the 3×3 Children Show for the quality of its pictures, Bellebrute will have already produced its 10th book by the end of 2013. The young duo, looking forward to their promising future, now want to collaborate on creative and unique picture books with publishing houses worldwide, as well as expand their experience in editorial and advertising illustration.
