Otto Steininger Checks Neil Young

Otto Steininger, who many followers will know as the creator of the brilliant Black Keys poster for the 2011 Soundcheck Award, has been at it again.  The latest edition of Germany’s Soundcheck Award, where the actual award is an original poster, went to Neil Young for his album Psychedelic Pill. Presented by Germany’s Radio-Eins and Der Tagesspiegel, one of Berlin’s largest newpapers, the award goes to the highest rated album on Radio-Eins Soundcheck program.

Otto used the Psychedlic Pill album for inspiration, combining a very stylized portrait of Neil and renderings of tablets scattered across the face of the poster.

“I’ll put that up in my studio,” Young told the jury when he received the award in Berlin.
