Ever since Guy won his school’s competition to design the masthead for the school paper in grade six, he knew he wanted to make images forever.
As graduate from the Alberta College of Art + Design (ACAD) in 1987, Guy has been practicing Graphic Design and Illustration ever since. He has a Bachelor of Design degree and is a long-time professional member of the Society of Graphic Designers of Canada (GDC).
His company, Guy Parsons Visual Communications Inc. has been operating since 1988. He has been producing artwork for print since 1978, that’s right—he was like three years old. His work has appeared in hundreds of publications, notably the juried competition for the book – Restaurant and Food Graphics, for the National Restaurant Association 1994 Annual (USA). Guy has also won two awards for Illustration in the Graphic Designers of Canada, National Peak Convention (1999).
His clients include companies such as Sports Illustrated, The Globe and Mail, Adobe, and Shell Canada.
Guy also practice as a sessional instructor at ACAD teaching fun things—like Design, Drawing and Technology.
